AccorHotels partners the film « Paris je t’aime »
to revive tourism in the capital

Consistent with its commitment to the solidarity campaign #ParisWeLoveYou, AccorHotels is partnering the film “Paris je t’aime”, which forms part of the plan to revive Paris the destination that was initiated at the start of the summer by the French government, the Paris City Hall and economic stakeholders.

Almost a year after the attacks that have hit France so hard, the film will be screened around the country and internationally, and in particular in the Group’s hotels in order to encourage more people to visit Paris. Directed by Jalil Lespert, the film highlights the capital’s charms via a whistle-stop tour to entice people back: its monuments, its hidden treasures, its gastronomy, its culture, etc. - a city that never stops, that has picked itself up, and is ready to welcome visitors from all over the world.

Young people trained and old buildings restored
thanks to Solidarity AccorHotels

Solidarity AccorHotels and the ibis Moulins Sud hotel are supporting the back-to-work program of the Les Amis des caves Bertine association, enabling the restoration of an 18th century vaulted cellar in Moulins town center, in the Allier district. Until the end of 2017, 12 young people aged between 18 and 26 will be receiving training in old building restoration, while also taking part in the restoration of their town’s heritage. The training program alternates periods of professional practice at the Bertine cellar site with periods of social and professional support.

Since 2011, thanks to the support of Solidarity AccorHotels, 41 young people have been hosted and trained at the Bertine basement restoration project. The ambition of Solidarity AccorHotels, the endowment fund of AccorHotels Group, is to combat the economic and social exclusion of people experiencing severe poverty through back-to-work programs. Since 2008, more than 250 projects in 41 countries have been supported, directly and indirectly benefiting 200,000 people.

Urban Treatments in the Clarins Spa at the Molitor Hotel:
an invitation to escape

Every year, the Clarins Spa teams invite busy men and women to take the time to look after themselves by offering them wellness breaks in the heart of the city. These tailor made programs are based on four themes: wellbeing, spa, energy and fitness.

The bonus? All offer access to the wellness area: sauna, steam and relaxation rooms, as well as to the legendary pools that are heated to 28°C all year round, in order to extend this moment of pure relaxation.
The day begins with a meeting with a therapist and an initial assessment to determine the program to be followed. They include the “Detox Treatment” with a stomach massage and a consultation with a naturopath, the “Beauty and Wellbeing Treatment” with advice from a sophrologist and a treatment to rediscover your radiance, the “Postnatal Treatment” with a fitness or aqua-gym class and a body lift treatment, etc. – custom treatments to match the guests’ individual needs.

Sofitel Frankfurt Opera:
The first 5-star hotel in Frankfurt opens in October

Situated in Opernplatz, just a ten-minute walk from both the Frankfurt Opera and the Liesl-Christ-Anlage park, the Sofitel Frankfurt Opera enjoys an ideal location. Drawing on the recognized expertise of the designer Nicolas Adnet of the firm MHNA Paris, Sofitel has created a resolutely modern hotel, inspired by the French city mansions of the 17th and 18th centuries. True to the spirit of the brand, the Sofitel Frankfurt Opera pays homage to the French way of life by recreating it in a sophisticated atmosphere, right in the heart of Frankfurt. Furniture and facilities of the highest quality were specially designed for the hotel.

Each of the 120 rooms and 31 suites offers a breathtaking view of the Opera, the park or the Atrium. The “Schonemann” Restaurant and “Lili’s” Bar – which owe their names to Goethe’s great love, Lili Schonemann – open their doors to guests, inviting them to taste inspired bistro-based cuisine from Paris, or simply to enjoy a cocktail. The tea house offers a wide selection of delicious pastries.

The Hotel Côte Ouest in Sables d’Olonne hotel joins the MGallery by Sofitel collection: “Welcome on board!”

The latest addition to the MGallery by Sofitel collection, the Hotel Côte Ouest nestles on the shores of France’s Atlantic coastline. The location of Les Sables d’Olonne, known for hosting the famous Vendée Globe yacht race every year, offers a landscape of great diversity. In this town, which is imbued with an atmosphere of the Belle Epoque, the Hotel Côte Ouest borders the ocean, the sandy beaches and the lush forests that make up the region.
With its design inspired by the 1930s ocean liners, the Hotel Côte Ouest immerses travelers in the world of cruises, inviting them to stop there... Vintage studded trunks, Chesterfield sofas, antique globes and a wealth of other antique store finds, adorn the lobby of this welcoming hotel. What makes this establishment unique? The bedrooms take the form of cabins, encouraging guests to continue their getaway via maritime and cozy decor.

The Hotel Côte Ouest is an invitation to relax. To sustain this state of mind, the Spa offers a wide range of modelage and thalassotherapy treatments. It offers cabins with sea views, including one twin cabin enabling guests to thoroughly enjoy a moment of wellbeing. The journey does not stop there, as the restaurant invites guests to experience a genuine gourmet stopover, with an uninterrupted view of the Vendée coast. Chef Thomas Evanno uses regional produce: the fish of the day, seafood and shellfish, all straight from the fish market.

An urban art work on an ibis Styles in Brazil

The Brazilian street artist Eduardo Kobra, known for his large and colorful frescos produced all over the world, traveled to Rio de Janeiro during the Olympic Games and painted a work on the exterior wall of the ibis Styles Faria Lima.

This initiative fits entirely with the values of the ibis Styles brand. Located in the heart of cities or hubs of activity, each establishment has its own look and personality and reflects a brand ethos that is vivid, bright and dynamic with a hint of humor. It is within this mindset that the project came into being.

The fresco showcases the bicycle, an important mode of transport for urban travel in major cities such as São Paulo, and can be seen far and wide since it is 60 meters high and 13 meters wide!

According to Patrick Mendes, CEO of AccorHotels in South America, “This fresco, a genuine outdoor work of art created by a globally renowned artist, strengthens AccorHotels’ commitment to artistic initiatives in the city. For us, this work is a way of thanking São Paulo, where the Group’s story began with the launch of the Novotel Morumbi more than 40 years ago.”

AccorHotels has 248 hotels in South America, with 40 in São Paulo alone.
